I've just been browsing the Daily Fail article with photos of drunk people after a night out on the town, and most girls seem to be wearing skimpy clothes with trainers. Well more like pumps/plimsolls. Is this the current trend? I'm mid 30s and haven't been out out in a looong time, but I have a few nights out coming up soon so I'm trying to do my research Grin

That's what my 21yo uni student DD wears to go clubbing. A tiny dress and trainers. She even has special clubbing trainers!

I do dresses / skirts and trainers and I'm nearly 40. Not a clue if it's trendy or not Grin

I was watching an old episode of Charmed the other day and they wore a dress with trainers and I thought what are are they wearing lol.

sugarbum · 15/02/2019 16:43

That's what I wore when I was a 'youngster'. Much more comfy than heels. I wouldn't know about fashion now, nor do I care. I do wear frocks and pumps in the summer though.

90s revival. I commend its comfort and safety aspects. Great for dancing in.

Deeedeeee · 15/02/2019 17:11

yes, this is what I did throughout the 90s, glad to see this trend is back, so much better than tottering around on stupid heels

glamorousgrandmother · 15/02/2019 17:15

It's what I wear to walk the dog in the summer. Not very skimpy though.

WatchingTheWheels85 · 15/02/2019 17:17

I wear converse with tights and a dress.

ilovepixie · 15/02/2019 21:27

I wear a short denim skirt with black tights and my purple sparkly DM boots. And I'm 50 lol.

lottieleo · 15/02/2019 22:03

It's what all the uni students wear where I am. Vans or white Adidas with usually small Lycra dresses i appreciate the comfort but it's personally not for me.
I'm all for a heel on a night out, I don't feel dressed up with out them.

GummyGoddess · 15/02/2019 22:11

Really? I loved this when I was a teenager. Makes me feel old but worth it for the comfort factor.

ShatFic · 16/02/2019 09:09

Thanks all, this is great news for me as I hate heels!
