Bobbi Brown. They gave me a lesson in using it. Brilliant stuff but costly.

My mum uses bare minerals and has found that good for her skin type.

Hmm a woman after my own heart. I have always been tainted moisturiser person ( Thankyou Laura Mercier) but wandered if needed something more covering.
I was given a small sample of Hourglass Illusion which I was told medium to full coverage. Lovely but I thought it made my face quite “flat” - in my mid 50’s I feel I need a bit of light and reflection.
Will be. Following with interest.

Nars natural radiant longwear. Pumps out a tiny pea sized amount so you don't waste any and their lightest shade Oslo is too pale for me and that never happens. I am Casper white Grin it's really full coverage, i have rosacea and it covers everything. I used to use ELDW but the lightest shade was a too dark and it dried my skin out.

Elllllle · 15/02/2019 11:44

Ha I came on to say Nars Radiant Longwear too! It is really quite amazing.

Oly4 · 15/02/2019 13:17

Clinique Beyond Perfecting. Used to love Laura Mercier but this is way better

Sillybillypoopoomummy · 15/02/2019 13:22

I second Bobby Brown - it is the only foundation I have ever bought again!

IHeartKingThistle · 15/02/2019 13:24

I'm really happy with no.7 Stay Perfect.

SorrelForbes · 15/02/2019 13:41

I like ELDW Nude Water Fresh, Dior Nude Air, and YSL Touche Eclat All in One Glow.

hopeishere · 15/02/2019 14:16

Also Bobbi Brown. Porcelain. Only one I've ever found with pink undertones.

April241 · 15/02/2019 14:18

Charlotte Tilbury magic foundation, love it!!

April241 · 15/02/2019 14:19

Oh and yes to No7 stay perfect too

DramaAlpaca · 15/02/2019 14:20

No. 7 Lift & Luminate is good, and not too expensive.

HaventGotAllDay · 15/02/2019 15:23

I bought the CT Magic after loving a sample but it seemed completely different in the full bottle and I flogged it on eBay.
L'Oreal pro-glow is very good and very cheap. Long lasting and full coverage but not in a caked on DW way.
I did love the sample of YSL touche eclat foundation though, and will prob get a full bottle.
I am very fair and 53. Need a bit more coverage these days.

minkies11 · 15/02/2019 15:27

I am very fair skinned with pink cheeks and red hair (Blush). I use Charlotte Tilbury for a fuller coverage look and Daniel Sandler for a dewy natural look. The Sandler foundation is really good and comes with a concealer but tends to slip off my face by the end of the day. Tried Fenty too but its really heavy.

CherryBlossom23 · 15/02/2019 15:57

Revlon colour stay is great on the cheaper end of things, otherwise seconding Bare Minerals, though I don't find that gives me full coverage. More like medium.

Vargas · 15/02/2019 16:04

IT Your skin but better CC+ cream, love it! and it's spf 50.

GotRedOnYou · 15/02/2019 16:32

I use Revlon Colorstay in buff - its full coverage and I'm very pale.

ifeellikeanidiot · 15/02/2019 17:49

I Love the colour stay too. Pink blue undertones

Terriergrrrrrrrr · 15/02/2019 17:59

I like Jane Iredale powder foundation in ivory. It's easy to build the coverage and it stays put.

Cuntforthebutter · 15/02/2019 18:04

YSL Touche Eclat fan here too

MissLanesAmericanCousin · 16/02/2019 00:41

In my old life I was a make up artist for Estee Lauder.

This foundation is actually better than Doublewear. Amazing coverage and impeccable finish. The colour range is quite impressive too.

Good luck! Smile

Elllllle · 16/02/2019 00:48

Colorstay is okay but it doesnt compare to Nars and I find it grey and dry looking like the ELDW

sushisuperstar · 16/02/2019 00:57

Watching with interest. I am after a cushion foundation for quickness.

WhatTheFronti · 16/02/2019 01:39

I am at the budget end of things (and live in Aus so cosmetics are eye watering exxy...) I am a fan of the ordinary serum foundations and recently using flower beauty illuminating foundation and am loving it.
I am very pale and these don't slip off my face in the heat.
Wish I could afford the CT range!
