my natural hair colour is an ashy brown and i bleached it blonde last year and after that i used a brown box dye to dye it back brown although since my roots grew out quite a bit before that i was left with my natural roots and a light brown colour from roots down which didn’t bother me but i wanted to go back to my natural colour. i bought a brown box dye but i think i left it in for too long since now my hair is pretty much black. will using the b4 color remover turn my hair ginger as i know it won’t go back to brown i’m almost certain it would go back to the bleached colour from what i can tell from the insurrections. i hate the black colour and just want my brown hair back

The way dark colours work is in two steps-they bleach, and they deposit colour. Colourb4 removes the colour molecules from the hair shaft, so what you get at the end is the bleached hair from your dark dye. It's going to be ginger toned, but get yourself an Ash toned semi permanent to throw on after, and this will counteract the ginger/bleached parts.

Yep, it’ll go ginger (mine went ginger AND grey). If you can bear it then hold off re-dying for as long as possible.

You can also try using crushed vitamin c tablets mixed with shampoo. I’ve managed to lighten my hair a bit doing this. However your hair does whiff afterwards.

I had had a mid brown on mine and it only looked slightly gingery at the ends when I used Colour B4. As PP says, it's not turning your hair finger, it's just revealing the bits that were permanently lightened by the dye.

I waited a week then re-dyed with a lighter shade. It worked well if you can manage the gingery bit for a few days.

My hair was medium brown, but dyed, so actually 70% grey...colour before...ginger 😁 but dyed over again fine...you may well go ginger tho

i dyed my hair too dark by accident i was going for my natural brown hair and i left it on for too long and it’s almost black. i’ve read a lot of good reviews about mixing vitamin c powder with anti dandruff shampoo and leaving it in your hair for 30-60 mins but does anyone know if this is legit and if possible some before and after pics?? thank you
