Is this too casual for Mother of the Bride? 🤔

I'll be 45 (wedding is not until next November but I'm just starting to have a little look around) and significantly shorter than the model so it would probably be past my knees in length. I'm a size 22/24 and my legs are probably my best feature. I'm really not keen on the traditional MOB "look" dresses and jackets combinations and that sort of thing. It's just not me. I'd rather something more modern but am wary of then being underdressed. Venue is a really beautiful country barn type place. Quite fancy. If that makes a difference.

I don't think it's too casual, it sounds like it will suit you. It's really nice.
I think it is a good base to dress up as much or as little as you like i.e. it could take a colourful statement necklace but would also look great with simple accessories.

I think it's lovely and a great outfit for accessories so you can change the look.

It's similar to the one I wore to DDs wedding except mine was sleeveless
