What do you wear to go out?

But not "out out"?. Out in the evening, weekend, food and drinks but to a casual type of place?

I haven't been out for a long time. But am starting to (at least try ) to more. But I keep bottling it as no idea what to wear. Thinking jeans, boots but what sort top? A quick browse of my small town high street made me realise the shops here cater for size 6 12 year olds
For info, I'm 41 and fatter than I should be. Size 14.

I'm the same as you though OP, I'm not that happy with my size at the mo and don't feel nice in anything.

Racheyg · 14/02/2019 21:23

I don't go out much but when I do I wear midi dresses with trainers or jeans and a shirt both with a leather jacket.....I live in leather jackets 😁

Sparrowlegs248 · 14/02/2019 21:41

@RockyFlintstone I have a few dresses of that description, all too small! I'm not buying any this size though.

Rocky either tights or pop sick things, depending on what I've been able to find! I like the loose fishnet (ie big holes!) that you can get now too.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 17/02/2019 14:05

pop sock - not pop sick!!!

@RockyFlintstone totally off subject, but My Dad Wrote a Porno fan?! waves hello

RockyFlintstone · 17/02/2019 21:36

Lol, yep I'm a huge Belinker!

Right now I wear a short leather skirt a lot. Last night we were out for dinner so it was the skirt, fine-knit jumper, opaques, and chunky brogues. Big faux fur coat. In summer it’s midi-dress, trainers, leather biker/denim jacket. I also wear a lot of cropped wide leg trousers, and per PP wear fishnets or crocheted tights/socks while it’s cold. I’m off skinnies and favour Whistles barrel-leg jeans at the mo.

Jeans and a nice top!

Skinny jeans, heeled boots, a nice coat and just a nice top...maybe with some lace, sequins etc.

Just wear what you're comfortable in and jazz it up a little.

LaFreaka · 18/02/2019 00:26

Bored of skinnies - very fond of slouchy high waisted trousers worn with a fitted shirt to emphasise the waist waist and tennis shoes or flat chunky boots.

BusterGonad · 18/02/2019 07:07

My go to for nights out are dresses. I suppose that's a bit boring now but I like them and feel comfortable in them.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 18/02/2019 16:00

I've also jut bought a really nice jumpsuit from Fat Face, of all places. Wore it to the pub last night with fishnets, trainers and biker jacket. It's not on the website yet, weirdly.

Sparrowlegs248 · 18/02/2019 18:22

@RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie can I ask how old you are? I feel "too old" for that sort of outfit. Or maybe too fat. I certainly think I'd be more adventurous once I'm slimmer.

I'm 49 and a 12/14. Must admit that I experiment more now I'm 'fat' than I did before!
