Finding Pregnancy dresses

DeadDoorpost · 12/02/2019 12:53

Got DB wedding end of June to go to. Not a bridesmaid, but would prefer to match the colour scheme if possible of greens, reds and peach. Preferably a floral dress.

I'll be 6 months along by then, iirc. Not really paying much attention. Would prefer to look pregnant in the dress and not "fat" like I did last pregnancy. I seem to only have a smallish bump that gets mistaken for fat (size 18). I'm 5'8.

Any recommendations for either maternity dresses or just plus size dresses would be great. I'm already having a meltdown over looking fat in the photos. (I know, it's their day, but I have some serious body image problems and tempted to avoid photos completely which will upset DB as he's very fond of me)

ASOS was my go to for nice maternity dresses for events

What's your budget?

I wore this dress to a wedding when I was approx 6 months pregnant, I’m a similar size to you and definitely looked pregnant rather than fat (my bump was huge though)

I got mine from the Katie Piper range:

Tiffany Rose, seraphine & Isabella Oliver are all lovely but also expensive.

Try eBay & this fb seconds group for some at bargain prices.

Do the ASOS dresses fit well, @Eminybob ?

That one is a bit gapey on the cleavage so I needed to pin it. I have huge norks though.

I bought a dress for a wedding from Isabella Oliver - definitely on the pricey side but it's gorgeous quality and fits so nicely.
