cool trainers for those with wide feet

Oh stylish ones! Can you help?

I have wide feet :-( and find it difficult to find trainers that are cool, modern and work with the rest of my look, which is mostly jeans/ black trousers/ midi dresses.

(I have sports trainers: asics wide fit and am ever thankful for M&S for wide fit ankle boots)

Anyone know of everyday sneakers that come up wide?

No, but watching and bumping!

Deeedeeee · 12/02/2019 12:16

How wide? I used to sell shoes, Josef Seibel ones come up relatively wide, their "Caspian" trainer is a bit converse in style but often in leather not canvas. Not sure if trendy enough but they usually do nice colours.

CatToddlerUprising · 12/02/2019 12:17

I wear vans- not the one that look like converse. But they are back in fashion now- I’ve worn them since I was 13 and I have very wide feet

SunnySomer · 12/02/2019 12:19

Ecco leather trainers. You need to look carefully at the style as some I think even my mother would refuse to wear, but some are really nice.

grannycake · 12/02/2019 12:21

I can wear some of the Hush styles but not others (the ones in the recent sale with the burgundy stars were fine) I have one very wide foot and struggle. Superga are also quite wide. Vans were too narrow for me as are Stan Smiths

Watching with interest as I have wide feet and need new trainers! I live in my Adidas ones but they're looking a bit scraggy now.

QforCucumber · 12/02/2019 13:07

I wear Adidas Original superstars, love them. Tried gazelles but found they went really Flat

DatsunCogs · 12/02/2019 14:51

ASOS do a wide fit range and I have got some nice ones from there in the past. New Look does wide fit too although I've not bought their trainers.

smallgreyelephant · 13/02/2019 14:52

Some really great info here. Many thanks. It's a nightmare having wide feet isn't it!
I've heard superga mentioned before but not yet tried it. There's quite a few options here so I'll have to work out who stocks what. Good to know about ASOS, however I'm nervous about online as I always have to send shoe back for not fitting.
Will report back if I'm successful.

I have very wide feet. I can wear Nike, Converse, Superga. Also have a pair of Espirit trainers which are a good fit.
Can't wear New Balance, Adidas or Reebok - all fat too narrow.

SilentShadows · 13/02/2019 22:44

I don't know if they're trendy or not but I have wide feet and like Brooks www.brooksrunning.com/en_gb/womens-running-shoes/

blibblibs · 13/02/2019 22:48

Another wide footer here and swear by superga.
Rocket dog are also good for wide feet but I'm not sure they'd ever be classed as cool.

Oct18mummy · 13/02/2019 22:54

Hoka are amazing for my wide feet and so comfy with fab colour combinations!

Sparrowlegs248 · 13/02/2019 22:58

Vans, those classic black with white stripe ones that the kids are all wearing.

Chosennone · 13/02/2019 23:08

Superga 100% mine are uber wide!

IAimToMisbehave · 13/02/2019 23:23

Not sure they fit the 'cool' aspect, but I have stupidly wide feet and have found Rocket Dog Jazzin low tops to be surprisingly comfy. Even better they are cheap as chips (if you're not fussed about most recent designs) and come in lots of colours/patterns

I buy them on Amazon here

Still really miss my docs though Sad

SpiritedLondon · 13/02/2019 23:44

Vans all the way - I have old school ( sorry “ old skool” ) Black & White hi tops but they do a regular trainer as well. I specifically discussed wide feet with the salesman and he said that they flex to accommodate wide feet. Other brands like my Nike Air Force ones have apparently a moulded footbed which does not do this.

GrimDamnFanjo · 14/02/2019 00:31

Superga here and Rocket Dog.
