New hair

Am 43, blonde, my hair was thin anyway but it's now wrecked from straightening too much 🤦🏼‍♀️
Last time I went to my hairdresser he said he'd never seen anything like it as it had completely broken off in sections

He cut it as best he could into a Bob, same length all round as I was trying to grow it into a long bob (kind of like Holly's)

But it's just not doing anything and I think I need it cut into a style and go a bit shorter in the hope it'll be healthier

Anyway what do you all think of these?

I'm trying to post a pic of my hair now but it says I can only upload 6 Hmm
I've only done 5!

Could you go even shorter (pixie) to really give your hair a chance to grow back stronger? If not, the last picture looks good but the model’s hair is in amazing condition.

FaceLikeAPairOfTits · 11/02/2019 16:49

If your hair is thin will it hang the same as some of these pictures? I like the Lauren Conrad one, but her hair looks very thick.

MozzchopsThirty · 11/02/2019 18:03

I like the 3rd one in the first pics
That's quite a lot shorter than my hair

Those girls all have very thick hair, fine hair won't hang the Saenz

WorryingLadyBits · 11/02/2019 18:14

**same

MozzchopsThirty · 11/02/2019 18:18

So what are my options?

I have a long bob which is curled most of the time making it shorter, and my hair is quite fine. It still looks fine in the shorter style and I hoped it would look thicker. Also it's sooooo hard to curl short hair. I underestimated how long it would take me to get ready each day. Solid half an hour on my hair needed now.

MozzchopsThirty · 11/02/2019 18:21

But the 3rd pic I like her hair doesn't look thick

I like them all. You could always use thickening shampoo etc. Try and see if it works and then go even shorter if not.

llangennith · 11/02/2019 18:41

All those looks will require a lot of blow drying and styling every day.

hugoagogo · 11/02/2019 18:48

Definitely don't go to a pixie, you will be cursing for months and months trying to grow it.
Just keep going for teeny tiny trims, use lots of conditioner and no heat!

TheLuckyMrsPine · 11/02/2019 19:23

Thing is if your hair is wrecked from straightening won’t you still have to use straighteners or curlers and therefore more heat damage?

MozzchopsThirty · 11/02/2019 19:38

I have to wash my hair everyday anyway
But I now only straighten it once or twice a week rather than daily
I'm using a heat protectant spray
I've bought a new hairdryer (as I noticed my old one had gotten so hot that the barrel melted Shock)
And two new brushes
So I'm doing what I can

I don't think I'd be brave enough for a pixie but I definitely need it cutting
It was last done on 28th dec
