Pore primer for really bad pores...

I've tried loads and I still have orange peel skin and literally holes in my nose Blush. I've tried cheap ones - Collection, Rimmel, etc and more expensive such as the Benefit one with really good reviews, but none of them work for me. I have been googling and am tempted to try Dr Brandt Pores No More - but I don't want to throw good money after bad. Can anybody suggest anything else I can try? I'm at the point of giving up completely on foundation as it just highlights my hideous face holes!

I've been trialing flower beauty primers - the pore minimising primer(green label) might be worth a shot. I really like it (and the others) tbh. I have acne/chicken pox and scarring from a cat bite as well as large pores and I really like them.

Have you thought about trying a liquid exfoliator to clean out your pores? This can make them appear smaller- I use the Paula’s choice 2% BHA liquid exfoliator and I really like it. I also use their niacinimide booster which is good for shrinking pores.
In terms of primer, I like the smashbox one xx

I know it sounds completely gross, but in the past when I've had a really good steam and exfoliating session, my pores have been even more prominent - so I'm thinking it's because they're at least partly filled when they're gunky?

I know - sorry Blush. I hope nobody reading this is eating....

Try The Ordinarys primer. Its £6 and comes with a dropper applicator (not the squeezy tube bottle type). I recommend it so often on here people will start to think i work for them (i dont!)

Yes I need this too! The pores on my chin are humongous and I look ridiculous with foundation on.

DHC Velvet Skin Coat. I have pores like yours and it works wonders. It's about £20 although you can get it cheaper on Amazon.

I don’t use a primer but have been using the Nivea Q10 anti-wrinkle and pore refining moisturiser and it’s definitely made a huge difference to the size of the pores on my face.

I have bad pores and use Estée Lauder the smoother and it's the best I have ever used!! Smoothes out any pores!! Xx

I had a nose like that. Until I started to use:
The Ordinary Lactic Acid 10% alternate nights with
The Ordinary Retinol in Squalane 0.2%
Boots plain witch hazel as a toner.

I am 51 but have got better skin now than I have ever had (apart from it going a bit slack).

The Ordinary stuff is dirt cheap but very effective.

I’ve also used Paula’s Choice BHA which was also excellent, but expensive compared to The Ordinary.

Someone on here recommended the blue Rimmer. primer which I use when I want a very fine base. It’s a good (cheap) shout.

Jojoanna · 13/02/2019 11:18

Where do you buy the ordinary stuff ?

gobbin · 14/02/2019 23:16

I got mine from Feel Unique but other websites also stock it. Delivery was quick.
