Coat with leggings/tunic?

I've aways been a boot cut jeans kinda gal but I just can't find nice, comfy fitting boot cut jeans anymore, plus I'm pg so I've finally gone with some comfy mat leggings and tunics to hide a multitude of sins. Plus converse/DMs. Fine.

But what coat over the top? The tunics hang down mid thigh so does it matter that all my jackets are waist length?
I wore my usual north Face gilet earlier and it probably looked weird...
(This is all social/dog walking so not office wear.)

I usually have no style and just wear what is comfy but since I've gone with a style that is kind of fashionable (?!) I want to get it right! I feel like a total fuddy duddy although I just opened the 'What shoes with this dress' thread and I got the right answer so I'm obviously not a total style loser!

Thanks in advance.

Maybe a longer parka coat or padded jacket? If it's casual style then either of these would work.

Definitely need a longer line coat with tunics IMO.

Thanks that is helpful.

What else can I wear with skinny jeans/leggings apart from tunics and dresses/dress tops?
I'm a 6' 12/14 so not massive but very hip-py, I'd feel quite exposed wearing much shorter tops? Any ideas?

I think it depends on the jacket. I wear a denim jacket or leather jacket with longer tops and it looks fine, shorter coats, less so.

If you want comfortable bootcuts I rate ERIN ones by Simply be. They have a discount site called ‘crazy clearance’ and are selling them for £7 the last time I looked. They are pull on jeggings but look like jeans and the indigo ones are flattering. You could get several sizes to see you through pregnancy....

Thanks Paul - really need to see how long are they. I need longer than most L ranges but not as long as Long Tall Sally stuff.
Also some ranges are massive over my hips and tummy and others I can barely do up!
Honestly my body hates me!
