Lindy Bop dresses or similar?

I'm having a 40th bday party this spring and would like a new dress. I'm usually quite repetitive (boring) in my dress choices - black/navy lace for example so want something a bit more interesting.

I have looked at Lindy Bop - so much choice! What is their sizing like? Any other brands people would recommend?

I am a size 10/12 with tummy the size 12 aspect!!

Bombshell London have some similar styles.

Vivien of Holloway frocks are fairly expensive (£100 ish) but made in London. Beautiful fabrics and designs. You can go to the shop if you're anywhere near London as their sizes are a bit odd.

I have a few Lindy bop dresses I usually get them in my bottom half size and have to get them taken in at the top as they are a bit big for my lack of chest. I would maybe order 2 sizes and see what you think, I've never had any issues with returns. Try Elsie's attic and want that trend lots of lovely stuff on both, I've just ordered my first dress from Elsie's attic so not sure how good they are but feeling hopeful!

Collectif

Hell Bunny

Top Vintage have a great selection of brands (Collectif and HB as well as Unique Vintage, Miss Candyfloss, Voodoo Vixen) as do TigerMilly

If your bottom half is bigger than top then I'd definitely recommend a swing style.

I recently bought a dress from Lindy Bop, it’s lovely especially for the price. I heard rumours that the sizing ran small so I bought a size up but I didn’t need to. In the future I’m sticking to my normal size and I’m getting the current dress taken in.

The thing about Lindy Bop dresses is different styles size differently. There used to be a bit on the listing that said if it ran big/small/as expected but I haven’t seen that for a while.
I’m searching for a dress for my 40th as well.

@LooksBetterWithAFilter good luck!!

palava.co are gorgeous and the fabric washes really well. They have beautiful kids wear as well.
