Mixing hair dyes (home dye job)

I use a Semi P Superdrug ( shade 7.73 - rich honey brown )
I have got some of the Wash In/ Wash Out on Rich Red (6.4)

I want a more coppery colour than the S/P dye gives but not mahogany or too bright (no Pillar Box Red here!)

So should I use the S/P then use the Wash In after as a top layer or can I mix them , even though they are different useage , different timings.

I think if I did the redder one second it was all just wash out (though one of the reviews says it doesn't , though not sure what colour they started with), if it wash mixed would it have more staying power?

I need the Patch Test / Strand Test too

My hair is turd brown with grey .

I would use the semi permanent all over and then use the wash in/wash out stuff. I would then try and use some of the wash in stuff once every week or so to keep it vibrant.

Semi permanent colour also washes out though so if you want more staying power try a demi permanent.

Thanks - I'm just faffing about now and decided to use the S/P on its own for now to give a 'base'

This dye (I've used it for a couple of years now , gone through a few shades to find this one) really sticks well on my hair !

I used to dye every 4 weeks with a permenant because of the dreadful root growth, the S/P is less obvious (though that could just be my elderly eyesight)

OK, dye then a strand test for the over-layer
