What can I wear with this dress?

I'm going to a wedding at the end of March. This is the only dress I have that fits me (since having DC2 I'm a small size 14 which is by far the largest I've ever been) and can't really afford to buy a new one. I'll probably just wear black shoes as that's what I already have but need some sort of jacket to go with it as it probably won't be that warm by March.

I'm quite pale so bright colours can make me look all washed out. Also quite large boobs so cardigans and things that button up can look quite stretched. I'm truly hopeless at this sort of thing so any suggestions gratefully received!

Why don't you wear a pashmina that's a pale pink/purple? I'd go with a toe revealing shoe with a heel if you can or maybe a wedge

Ooh I never would have thought of that. Sounds much more elegant than my usual look! Would you literally just wear it wrapped over your shoulders/arms? Is it not a pain having to hold it there? Saying that, at least it's a child free wedding so I won't have to worry about running around after and carrying small DC!

Comfortable shoes for dancing, a small clutch and a shawl if it's cool. Very pretty dress!

How about some lower or mid-heel slingbacks? Still comfy but a little bit dressy. I agree with a pashmina or wrap, maybe in a pink which tones with the flowers on your gorgeous dress, and a simple, black clutch.

Fuchsia killer heels and pashmina.

If you get a pashmina big enough it can be draped over your shoulders and tied at the small of your back

You wouldn't need to hold it but it would obviously be up to you whether you liked the look

Thanks for the suggestions! I do love the dress. I've had it ages but only worn it a couple of times. Luckily my extra weight is mostly around the middle and this dress just skims over it nicely.

Now you mention it Doing I do have some bright pink heels somewhere, I'll have to see if I can find them.

Loving the pashmina suggestion, thanks. Off to see what I can find online
