Doesn't really smell lovely, but o'keefes is amazing! It's the only hand cream I have ever used that actually works.

I’ve been through dozens of hand creams and have finally found Liz Earle Hand Repair. It’s the only thing that truly soothes my chapped hands and it’s lovely and non greasy

legolimb · 11/02/2019 17:06

Body Shop Hemp.

I have used it for years - great for nails too.

If I run out or someone buys me another brand I can tell the difference in the state of my skin and nails.

Lamentations · 11/02/2019 17:11

The hemp is good. I like the smell, which is a bit like patchouli, but it's not fragrant in the way you might want it to be.

cstaff · 11/02/2019 17:15

L'Occitane every time. Definitely the best moisture wise. Someone gave me Jo Malone for Christmas and I ended up giving it away. The smell was lovely on someone else but too strong for me. Also it was dryer than L'Occitane.

Hand Chemistry - makes your hands look younger

swirlette · 11/02/2019 17:18

Roger & Gallet (especially the fig one) - soaks in right away and smells amazing.

pippop1317 · 11/02/2019 17:21

O'keeffe's is really good. Recently purchased and it was brilliant. Can also say body shop hemp is great x

Nanasueathome · 11/02/2019 17:21

I Coloniali

hotchocdrinker · 11/02/2019 17:22

Avegno is great for every day, but virtually unscented. I like Weleda Sea Buckthorn too - not very thick, and easily absorbed.

LivingDeadGirlUK · 11/02/2019 17:27

Clarins hand treatment is amazing but I had a little heart attack when I went to repurchase, will be hoping for another gift lol

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 11/02/2019 19:30

I love L'Occitane :
Almond or Verbena for scent (more in Summer)
Shea for 'function'

BodyShop Absinthe

I bought DD some Burts Bees handcream (in a jar, smells like the most lucious marzipan) , she loves it , she'd been pestering me for ages t buy it

borntobequiet · 11/02/2019 19:44

Aldi’s Aveeno lookalike - Lacura moisturising hand cream.

thismeansnothing · 11/02/2019 19:45

It doesn't smell good but deffo Body shop hemp.
A little really goes a long way too

wishingforalotterywin · 11/02/2019 20:38

Aveeno is amazing

EnidButton · 11/02/2019 21:11

Neutrogena red top and La Roche Posay Cicaplast hands are my faves.

Neither smell of anything but ime, nice smelling ones aren't that brilliant on do anything properly for dry skin. You could use a decent hardcore one at night time and if you want nice smelling too, use a lotion one during the day. Sinks in faster than a cream.

ThanksForAllTheFish · 12/02/2019 12:22

I love L’Occitaine hand creams. I find they dry quick and aren’t greasy. They are nice and thick so a little goes a long way. I’m not so keen on the original Shea butter version but I have a nice collection of the other scents. My favourite was a limited edition that smells like Parma violets and also a cocoa scented one that may also have been a limited edition.

Stinkinants · 12/02/2019 12:25

Weleda skin food.. No nasties and smells lovely... www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_i_0_5?sprefix=Weled&crid=EJA6QCNTFULV&k=weleda+skinfood&tag=mumsnetforum-21

Another vote for Garnier, either the one in the red tube or the Intensive 7 Days Restoring with Shea Butter. I like the Body Shop Milk and Almond as well, although they don't do that in the large size, only the handbag size.

My husband, who gets quite bad cracked skin on his hands at this time of year, swears by the Body Shop Hemp.

L'occitane Shea Butter is also good.

Clarins Hand and Nail Cream is fab but ££ so I only ever get that for gifts or when I'm feeling flush (which is not very often)

StellaRae · 12/02/2019 13:12

Kiehls doesn't smell lovely, but is great for dry hands.

My favourite gorgeously scented hand creams are Clarins and Decleor.

I got the Byredo Bal D'Afrique one in an advent calendar and it was completely divine, very £££ I think.

Bioderma Ataderm is v reasonable (less than a fiver I think) and also smells great.

Shoveitupyourbum · 12/02/2019 13:31

I love Crabtree and Evelyn hand creams. Lovely scents
