Logistics are that I'm going to be running around like a headless chicken until about an hour before the ceremony and the location is very rural and I've already spent eleventy trillion pounds on this wedding so trying to avoid hiring a hairdresser to come out to me. Hair is few inches below shoulder length and has a slight wave left to its own devices. I have next to no skill in putting hair up at all and no idea about facsinators etc. Any thoughts on a simple 2 minute style I'll be able to do myself that will look a bit more spesh than my norm 'bun for work the straight for a night out'? Domt mind purchasing any kind of clip or fascinate I'm just USELESS at this sort of thing. And I've never been able to curl successfully with ghds either. Thanks in advance!

As you have already spent eleventy trillion, how much difference is adding on a hairdresser? You'll be in a lot of pictures and will look at them for years; I think you should ask whoever's doing the bride's makeup to fix you up too. My sister's hair and makeup for my niece's wedding added pennies to the bill and gave her a huge boost, even though she was exhausted. She looked great all day and all evening. You will have spent bundles on the wedding; please don't spoil your enjoyment of the day for evermore by being stingy here.

I think it's money well spent. A good hairdresser is worth their weight in gold!

Here I am at my stepdaughter's wedding. I washed my hair and that was it...

I'm not saying it's a very formal look, but I had a good time...

I guess I could get the hairdresser. I'm not really a hairstyle kind of person, maybe its time to change that!
