Want a daytime look. Thank you. Preferably something I can buy on Amazon!

Cream eyeshadow I am a connoisseur Grin
Cheap Revlon colourstay cream eyeshadow in the glass jar. Mid price Rosie for Autograph in the twist up pen style, pricey By Terry ombré black star also a twist up pen style. All are good, none of them crease on me!

I am rather liking Mavala mascara (they make those little nail polishes too). I have gone for the waterproof one but they make others. I am really liking it and it is about £11.

As Buster said with the cream shadows - though I have not tried the ByTerry ones. Clinique also do a creamy pencil that is rather nice too. A big stubby pencil, that is.

BusterGonad · 07/02/2019 16:21

Deathly I've also tried the chubby sticks and liked them BUT they kind of became loose the the tube and ended up failing out in lid iyswim, so for that I can't recommend them as highly. I did have the smaller ones from a Christmas gift set though!

Juliepops05 · 07/02/2019 16:25

Lancôme also do cream eyeshadows. Clinique chubby sticks were good but I think they've been discontinued now!

Deathraystare · 07/02/2019 18:05

Buster - I am finding that with a number of eye pencils - I have a Barry M one where the lid won't go back. The whole length is sticking out of the end of the pencil!

Mac Paint Pot in Groundwork is a great every day ‘neutral’ cream eyeshadow that doesn’t shift once it’s on. Brilliant stuff. Bobbi Brown eye shadow crayons are also good.

Mascara is also Mac: Power Play I think it’s called. It’s in a metallic blue tube and is ‘weather proof’, rather than waterproof. Doesn’t budge.

Death yep, tell me about it. So far my Revlons are the best for lack of mess etc. they come with a brush in the lid (or use your fingers). Rosie seems in perfect nick but By Terry can go soft and break off if you live some where very hot (south east Asia for me).

BusterGonad · 08/02/2019 00:26

My favorite mascara is Benefit roller lash but I'm partial to Rimmel and L'Oréal.

Deathraystare · 08/02/2019 07:44

Buster - How typical that the more expensive ones (ByTerry) are the problem!!!

BusterGonad · 08/02/2019 09:23

Deathly the By Terry are okay, but they could've chipped a bit as I've also used them the most! Who knows! 😂 But the Revlon are definitely the best value for money and have a huge colour selection too! I think I have about 9! Blush

Theunreasonableone · 08/02/2019 15:02

The Laura Mercier Caviar sticks are amazing. I like the colours of the Rosie at M&S cream shadows but found them really fragile to use and big chunks kept coming off when I used them. I also like the Bobbi Brown and Clinique ones

DandilionBreak · 08/02/2019 15:06

My favourite mascara is the Lash Power longwear one by Clinique. It's a tubing one though, and those seem to divide folk into lovers or haters.

Cream eyeshadows have always puzzled me. Can anyone enlighten me as to how to use them and how durable they are? I'm 50 so have pretty dry lids in winter, but they do get a bit oilier in summer. Is there a good primer that would give a bit of holding power and stop it creasing?

BusterGonad · 08/02/2019 16:15

Dandelion I generally do not prime my eyelids before as I personally feel the primer messes up with the formulation. If I'm using my Revlon then I apply with the small brush supplied. Or my finger. I blend it into the eyelid then blend it out to the crease. With sticks I'll pop a bit on my eyelid then use a stiffish eyeshadow brush to blend out.

Meagain19 · 08/02/2019 16:15

I like paradise extactic mascara by Loreal and bad gal bang from benefit.

I think Maybelline did a cream type eyeshadow... Tattoo something. That didn't budge and I am sure they still stock it in various shades.

DandilionBreak · 08/02/2019 16:29

Thank you Buster I may have to try one!

Calvinsmam · 08/02/2019 16:32

I have bought so many mascaras, from very top end to high street and my total fave is the one from wilkinsons Blush
I would never have tried it but I got it free in a beauty box ages ago and I wear it all the time now.

BusterGonad · 08/02/2019 16:58

Dandelion I'm a total convert, now I've found ones which are not only gorgeous but don't crease on ME!

Ratatouille76 · 11/02/2019 21:31

Thank you
