Am I too old for this perfume?

I have never really owned a bottle of perfume mainly because it usually causes my skin to itch and because it’s too expensive. It’s my birthday next week and I thought about buying myself some perfume. Yesterday I was in boots so thought I would try a few out and cane across Ariana Grande Cloud, sprayed a bit on the back of my hand and at first thought it smelt a bit too sweet, carried on with browsing around boots and the smell kind of grew on me. I can still smell it on me today (after bathing) and I actually really like it but I’m thinking it’s a perfume for teenagers?

I’m 37 next week, am I too old? 😁

Definitely not. Go by the scent, not the name.

Vintagewannabe · 07/02/2019 12:19

No you don’t walk around with a flashing banner telling all. Go for the scent and how it makes you feel :)

Aprilshowersarecomingsoon · 07/02/2019 12:23

Avril Lavigne (now discontinued) Black Star is my fav and I am 47!!

Firstinlastout · 07/02/2019 12:36

I'm 45 _still wearing Britney Spears!

Lovemusic33 · 07/02/2019 12:46

Thank you, I have ordered it. Your right, no one needs to know the name of it.

Ahhh I wear Britney and I'm 43...go for it!

halfwitpicker · 07/02/2019 12:47

Just do it

icannotremember · 07/02/2019 12:50

You can't be too old for perfume of any kind. If you like the smell, wear it :)

Fairylea · 07/02/2019 12:58

I am 38 and I am still a teenager Wink

Wear whatever you like. What is age anyway?!

aimee81 · 07/02/2019 13:03

I'm 36 and I still wear Charlie red, I love the scent. Other people say its to cheap a perfume to wear!
Do what you want if you like the smell don't worry what other people think

primoestate · 07/02/2019 13:30
  1. CK1. I'm embarrassed when people ask. I feel so much more sophisticated.
MisiaMisia · 07/02/2019 14:27

You are never too old (or too young) when it comes to perfumes. I think it's a really nice perfume, I liked it too, so it's on my wish list.
Apparently it smells similar to coveted and very expensive (£200 for 70ml) Kurkdjian Baccarat Rouge 540.

BusterGonad · 07/02/2019 15:12

Aimee I have Charlie Red, Gold, Blue and White! All I need is silver Grin
I also love Vera Wang Princess and all the other very girly fragrances. I've just turnt 40!

Ifonlyiweretaller · 08/02/2019 17:30

I wear Rihanna Rebelle and im in my late 50's!

TeaAddict235 · 08/02/2019 17:47

Still wear Tommy girl and am mid 30s. Ain't no girl no more Grin

Arnoldillo · 08/02/2019 17:51

I agree that it's a lovely perfume and am planning on getting it myself, despite being in my forties. All of these celebs have top perfume house people at their disposal and it's them who created the scent, not Ariana Grande.

Although incidentally I think she's pretty cool anyway. (Which I'm sure she'll be gratified to hear LOL).

Lovemusic33 · 08/02/2019 22:18

Arnoldilo it is a nice perfume, I’m glad I’m not the only one who likes it. I ordered it from boots, should be her tomorrow, I can’t wait to wear it,

MisiaMisia do you mean the Ariana Grande one is like baccarat Rouge? I absolutely love how that smells sort of like burnt candy floss. At over £200 a bottle it’s way out of my budget. I keep going into John Lewis to test it and am waiting to be banned for having too many squishes. I’m 58 but if Ariana Grandes stuff smells like that, I’m in!

SapphireSeptember · 09/02/2019 01:02

Buster You are clearly my soulmate when it comes to lippies and perfumes. I have all of those and Charlie Silver and I LOVE it, especially in the summer. Smile I think Charlie Black is my favourite of all time.

I'm 30 and have a large collection of the So...? body mists, with names like Candyfloss and Marshmallow. Go for it OP, you're never to old to wear a perfume you love.

BusterGonad · 09/02/2019 01:55

Hi sapphire I think we are lipstick and perfume soul mates! Grin

Lovemusic33 · 09/02/2019 18:10

I was walking through town today and someone that walked past me was wearing it, I’m glad I have ordered it, it is quite a sweet almost burnt candy floss smell, I guess it reminds me of when I was a teenager and everyone was wearing sweet smelling body spray (vanilla).

Hope you really enjoy it when it arrives LoveMusic33. I think a perfume you love brings an everyday sort of happiness.
