Toddler Sorel Boots

Hello all!

Not sure if this is the right thread for this.. apologies if not!

Currently scouring eBay for some used Sorel snow boots for LO and I'm wondering if any of you lovely MN'ers have any experience re sizing.

My LO is currently a 4.5 in Clarks, with plenty of room. Looking at the Sorel kid's sizing charts, they seem to run much bigger than Clarks.

Is anyone able to offer any advice on whether to go for a Sorel size 4 (which according to the size guides, equates to a 5.5 in Clarks) or to get a size 5 (equating to a Clarkes size 6.5?!). I have a couple of pairs of thick socks at the ready, too! We are off to the Alps in just over 3 weeks.

TIA x

They definitely come up very big. That said my DD wore her size 8 Sorel snowboots last winter when she was a size 7, and is wearing them this winter (she’s now an 8). Tonnes of room for thick socks - 2 pairs if very cold - but I think because they’re so adjustable on the leg it doesn’t matter if they’re roomy on the foot?
I’d go for a 5 + thick socks so that she gets lots of wear out them them.
