90s night!

I have a 90s event/party and am clueless to what I should wear? I know there will be some full on fancy dress but I'm not really in to that. I was thinking normalish clothes with a hint to the 90s? Any ideas?

Skinny white short sleeve t shirt, strappy babydoll dress, dms, bjork knots in your hair and a choker. And heather shimmer.

In the 90s I was mostly wearing nighties from M and S as dresses I seem to remember. Or T shirts that were far too small, with something glittery on them, with cords.
Nowadays I would wear a red wig, an awful suit, a torch and an FBI badge and go as Dana Scully.

I clicked to see what people would come up with as I was stumped by your title. In the nighties I wore baggy jeans with tee shirts under open plaid shirts with leather bracelets and just washed not at all styled hair, no makeup and comfortable shoes. I struggle but manage to keep just a level or two above this nowadays. Hair is groomed, make up is on, leather bracelets are a thing of the past but I could easily unravel into grunge at any moment basically.

Are you near a primark? Tie dyed slip dresses in there! Wear with white t shirt under. alternatively an A-line mini skirt
