I've been with my hairdresser 15 years. She is a fabulous colourist and I've mostly been pleased with my cuts. I get on very well with her - conversation flows easily and I'm in every 8 weeks, booked in advance always on time. She's a senior stylist in a small chain.
I've had a few not great cuts in the last couple of years, but my cut before last was fabulous, exactly what I was after. I took in pictures, she got it and I got exactly the cut I was after. It was perfect and so easy to make great every day.
So, last week I had a usual appointment. Told her how fabulous it was and could she do the same again. Was told yes no problem, and no she didn't need to see the pictures again.
It is not the same cut. It's not terrible, but it's not right. Dh, who has negligible interest in my hair, when pressed said yes it was different and not as nice. (this fine btw, I wanted a second opinion! ).
I'm thinking this should be a really simple request, but is it?
With hindsight this, or similar, has happened on a couple of other occasions, and I think has been her thinking she could improve on something. If she wasn't such a fab colourist I'd probably go elsewhere.
She is going to recut it at the weekend, but wondered what others thought.
Thanks
