Wedding prep

Okay I’m in desperate need of help!

I am getting married in July. At the moment, I am - quite frankly - a state.

I have big bags under my eyes, my hair is thin, my skin is sad looking and dry. I am 35 but look way older. My digestive system is sluggish and i am always tired.

Using my wedding as my goal, I would like to see if I can tackle some of these issues. I would like to feel beautiful on the day.

I have just started PT a couple of times a week. I have been googling Botox, but I have never had anything like that before so I have no idea where to start. Oh and I have found a good eyebrow threader!

My skincare regime is a bit all over the place but I do religiously cleanse, moisturise and exfoliate. (aveene foam wash, Ren mosituriser & Aveda fluid) I know I could be doing more.

Can anyone recommend any supplements or skincare regimes or anything else that might pep me up a bit. I’m feeling really bad about myself!

TIA

Oh and my nails could be any more split and thin! I’ve tried the Sally Hansen growth vanish but it doesn’t seem to have done much...

Anyone?! Or am I doomed?!

I expect someone more knowledgeable will be along shortly but I just wanted to say that I've recently bought a UV lamp and been applying gel nails at home. They last about two weeks and when removing/reapplying I do a full manicure. Somehow the gels seem to be protecting my natural nails and they've never been so long or in such good shape.

Regarding skincare. Personally I'd pick a skincare counter and book in for a facial, buying any products that seem to suit your skin. I had one at Clarins and bought several products that have made a big difference to my skin. I think someone really needs to see your skin to make a recommendation, and they'll give you sample sizes to try at home before you splurge.

I’m in the same boat and getting married in May! My key concern is losing weight, so currently following a strict no sugar/carbs diet. I’ve also done the following-

  • taking perfectil tablets
  • weekly face mask
  • 3-4L of water a day
  • OPI nail envy
  • coconut and olive oil hot hair mask once every few weeks

I’ve also got a very strict skincare routine and- even if I do say it myself- I am glowing! Here’s what I do

AM

  • wash face with pixi clay cleanser
  • pixi tonic
  • origins ginzing eye cream
  • vitamin c serum
  • vitamin e serum
  • spf30

PM

  • hot cloth cleanser
  • pixi OR alpha H liquid gold
  • the ordinary 0.5% retinol 3 times a week
  • hyaluronic acid
  • Kiehls avocado eye cream
  • roc serum
  • REN v cense night cream
  • honey sleep pack (Korean)

It’s a lot of work but my skin has been so good I now only use a dusting of loose powder in the mornings!

I also get my lashes LVL every 6 weeks!
