What is Joules sizing like? (Knitwear)

Just wondered what the sizing at Joules is like? I love the look of this Heart jumper, www.joules.com/Women/Jumpers-Cardigans/Valentina/Fairisle-Jumper/Heart-Fairisle?id=205094|HEARTFAIR (unfortunately not available direct from the Joules website, but fortunately its available at John Lewis) but I am unsure as to whether their sizing runs big or small so don't know whether to order a 8 or 10! Also, are Joules items good quality?

The only thing I buy from Joules is knitwear! I don't like a lot of the prints they have on their tops but jumpers from Joules are quite good. They do tend to come up big. I'm a size 10 but usually go for an 8, or even a 6 if it's an oversized style. I don't have the one you're looking at but the ones I do have (about 4 different styles) are all soft and wash well if looked after.

Okay, I think this jumper isn't supposed to be fitted, I think its supposed to be a bit looser...I'd like it that way as I would be able to get shirts underneath it to make it more versatile!
That bodes well about the quality, I am glad they last well. Slightly annoying that it isn't available on the Joules website though - I have a discount code and at John Lewis it is full price! Should be worth it though as it is a lovely jumper.

I bought a Joules jumper last year and found the quality appalling. It pilled like nothing I've ever owned, even before I'd washed it it had pilled under the arms and the length of the sleeves. I threw it away in the end as it wasn't in any condition to donate. For the price I'd expect it to wear and wash better than a Primark jumper, which goes to show you don't always get what you pay for!

Very two different opinions there. That is really disappointing that you find the quality terrible...I've looked at the material content of the jumper I was interested in, and it is basically all acrylic :( Disappointing for an expensive jumper.

I buy the harbour tops. I have to buy a size bigger than I need to allow for the shrinkage that occurs in the first few washes.

Always found joules true to size. So go for usual
Size.

Some of the items have gone down in quality. The jersey dresses and tops always used to be fab. But the last couple of seasons they have faded. I haven’t brought knitwear since last winter and that is still going strong. I always use a hand wash cycle on my machine though.

Just checked on the joules website and since earlier the jumper has come back in both sizes 8 and 10! Managed to get my 20% off and free delivery to store so I’m hoping one will be the perfect fit and it will be easy to return the other, rather than buying it at John Lewis.

Can’t wait for it to arrive now!
