Good eyelid primer for WORLD'S OILIEST (and yet sensitive) eyelids...

I was using NYX which was great in terms of stopping the 11am droop of eyeliner but after about a week of using it roughly every day my eyelids were red and sore.

Esther Walker (OntheSpike blog) is recommending a Trish McEvoy one this morning but I can't afford £31! She also reccs the NYX one I didn't get along with and Mac prep and Prime which I COULD afford just about, but I don't want to spend £16 if it turns my eyelids red and sore again in a few days like the cheapo NYX one did! Happy to bin the NYX one cos it was cheap but I really don't want to fork out £16 if it's not going to be usable after a few days.

My eyelids are a proper oil-slick, which is odd because the rest of my skin isn't oily at all.

Even 'non-budging' eyeliners slide off within 3 hours and make me panda like. I get OK results with powder shadow used as eyeliner but it still slides off, just a few hours later...

Help?

Kiko milano works well for me (the natural is less oily than the pearl one). Costs around €7.

Urban Decay Primer Potion in Original is the bestseller

MAC paint pot in painterly - oily lids that can smear inside of an hour Saw paintpots recommended as an undercoat / primer, and thought it was mad, but love it

Urban decay eye primer is good. Mac paint point and elf also get good reviews but I haven’t tried them.

I use the Pacifica beauty eye and lip primer pencil. I have v oily lids and it is the best I have found

Too faced shadow insurance. Love it- on about my 6th tube. The urban decay made my eyes sore.

If you have oily eyelids then look up treatments for blepharitis.

For a cheapie try the MUA one. I use it every day and haven't had any problems with dryness. It also lasts an age. It's very like the UD Primer Potion.
