Best shapewear

I've never worn it before but I have a ball to attend and have a gorgeous figure hugging floor length gown to wear

So I thought I might invest.
I'm a size 10 but have a little over hang from c section so I'd just like something not too heavy duty a la Bridget Jones but something to give me a great shape

I got a great one from John Lewis for about £50. It’s like a cross between shorts and a skirt. I researched quite a bit beforehand
