Plus size summer wedding advice

Help! Have been invited to a summer wedding & have no clue what to wear. I know I’ve got ages but was hoping for some ideas as after Easter work will be mega busy so shopping time limited - plus I don’t really like shopping.
I’m 5ft 6 & currently a size 22 (trying to lose weight/tone up but no guarantees), have big thighs & a bit of a belly. I’m blonde with very pale skin so tend to shy away from paler colours.
Any suggestions gratefully received 🙂

What shape (Apple/pear) and what budget? Have you got decent legs?

I'm the same size, often tricky to know whether to go for top end of regular sizes or curve/plus.

@wishingforalotterywin that’s lovely. I really like the colour & pattern. I’ve still got a bit of a waist so probably could be called a very big hourglass - also got huuuge boobs so I tend to go for v-necks rather than the higher neckline of the dress suggested. My legs are ok although I have got a varicose vein on one leg but I don’t mind getting them out, I’d just slap on some fake tan. I don’t like anything too short - once bought a dress that was lovely whilst standing but didn’t try sitting until the day of the wedding....had to drape my wrap over my knees anytime I sat down to avoid flashing my undies!!

Hi we sound v similar then and I'm a dress addict but it's prob bit early for summer ranges yet unless you have luck in sale but I would keep an eye out on these sites (my fave first) all do size 22

Phase8/studio8
Monsoon
Boden
Dorothy Perkins (watch length - regular dresses can sometimes be bit short)

Maybe M&S
Also ASOS & Next & coast curve but I never seem to actually buy anything from any of those...

Would you consider a jumpsuit or not? I have not yet been persuaded!

I hope some others come on as I'd be interested to see what's suggested

I know what you mean about length when sitting down. These look shortish but the model is apparently 5'11"
This one's a bargain

Or this one if not too flowery for you!

To add to the above list I would also try Debenhams. I am your size and got a lovely dress from Principles last year which I wore for a couple of smart events. Maybe book a session with the personal shopper for Feb/March when spring ranges might be in.

Could you get in a 20 in phase eight? Fairly generous sizing. The Fiona floral is my favourite

Just to add if you have a couple of things coming up it maybe the motivation you need to drop a dress size with sensible eating and more exercise. I did this last year started in January and by June I had lost two stone just doing it on my own.
