Can anyone recommend one of these that lasts all day? Thanks

I've just this week bought Mac Studio Tech and I genuinely love it. It goes on like a dream, is buildable so you can go as light or as heavy as you prefer, it stayed put all day and best of all it didn't feel heavy and uncomfortable on my face like practically every foundation I've ever used has.

I have really dry skin and I have a real problem with foundations sitting on top of my skin and not blending in but this is just amazing. Wish I'd found it years ago!

Norma ooh I love mac being an NC15 which is a bastard of a shade to find in most companies. I'll have a look thank you.

I've just realised though that you asked for powder recommendations 😳 so sorry, the Mac one is a cream one in a pallet but it dries beautifully! I've never been able to get on with powder foundations due to my skin being so dry 😭

Seline · 31/01/2019 23:39

I'll still have a look at it. I want something that's really easy to put on, because I have no time. My skin is clear but I want a flawless made up look.

Bare minerals original....I keep going back! It’s amazing

Came on to say exactly the same thing as Norma, so I'll just pootle off again now as I see my work is done!

Happy to be of service London!

Honestly I love this foundation so much I am recommending it to everyone I speak to. I finally feel that at the ripe old age of 44 I have found my holy grail and I am so happy!

I would highly recommend Pure Magic Minerals. I've been using their full coverage powder foundation for a few months now and I love it. It stays put and I love the finish. You can order a few sample sizes to test colours and they always send a few free samples with each order. They are very reasonably priced as well.

I love purminerals 4in1. Not sure if that is the same as the above. It is powder foundation concealer and SPF in one. You can put on as much or as little as needed and it does not settle into any wrinkles if you have any that is

I have only seen it for sale on M&S

I’ve been using this one from Avon for years.

They seem to have changed the packaging but it seems to be the same stuff. It’s very good, stays put for ages (although I do have to powder my nose in the afternoon if I put it on in the morning) and agrees with my sensitive rosacea suffering skin.

My absolute favourite is Laura Mercier's mineral powder foundation. I've used it for years. Buildable coverage and is superb at covering my acne rosacea. No skin reaction or blocked pores either. Can be pricey but lasts for ages when applied with a flat powder or kabuki brush.

So can I ask then, powder foundations aren't very good for dry skin? I'm eager to try the Mac one reading those posts

NormaLouiseBates · 03/02/2019 23:25

In my experience, no. I bought a Bare Minerals set a while ago when everyone was raving about it and it just looked awful on me. Ended up giving the lot to my oily skinned friend who loved it!
