How do I get hair like the Boden lady?

Specifically this lady. Does your hair need to be naturally wavy? Mine is thick, but naturally straight and silky. I’m thinking I’d need a way of adding texture and creating the shape (straighteners?) Or is this style a no-go unless your hair is a bit wavy?

I have been trying to get this hair too and I've given up. My hair is naturally wavy so I thought I could manage this but actually you need to blow dry it, then heat style it in to waves or it just looks untidy. Some dry shampoo for body.

My hair isn't this short but I use a product called the Sleep Styler which is an American overnight curling product that is available in the UK and comes in long and short hair versions.

I can't guarantee it would have the effect equal to the picture OP but I reckon it might.

It looks like it's been tongued from mid length down in loose waves and then product put through to separate.

Probably it's been created and styled for hours by a professional hairdresser though as it's a photo shoot.

Also I don't think you can create that shape with straighteners alone, as it's too short for the kind of waves they give. A heated barrel curling tong probably and then backcombed a little underneath for texture, along with some sort of root-body-boosting wax or gum type product rubbed in at the roots to make it not lie flat to the head at the roots.

Hmm...I’m happy to spend time styling my hair each day but that sounds like you need quite a lot of skill to make it look good.

Have a look at domdomhair on Instagram, he does tutorials on this sort of style. I use my straighteners instead of tongs to get a similar wave then use root boosting powder and spray.

Thanks adultcat, I’ll have a look Smile

I've got the Cloud Nine Waving wand. It's really easy to use and gives great results.
