The Pool, women's site co-founded by Lauren Laverne, in crisis talks.

Saw this earlier today. Very sad about it. I get this in my inbox every morning and really love it. The articles and interviews are great as are the health and beauty tips. I really hope it makes it through.

I found it a bit too woke for its own good personally.

Yes a couple of weeks ago a few freelancers were calling them out on Twitter for not paying them whilst still commissioning new writers. Major financial problems. Digital media is a tough market, just look att he Buzzfeed culls.

I never thought much of The Pool's fashion but did enjoy several of their articles.

I saw this mentioned the other day I had no idea you had to pay subscription model

It passed the time. I was getting a bit fed up with the editorial trans bias.

Well yes I know what you mean but I did like the articles otherwise. It's gone now though.

Sorry to hear the Pool has failed. I usually enjoyed reading it, although it was a bit too woke. I shall miss it though.
