A hairspray that actually works?!

Can anyone please recommend a strong hairspray that truly works? I have long thickish hair that doesn’t seem to ever want to hold a style.
I love curlingy my hair and desperately want to do some proper Hollywood glam waves for a big event, but I desperately need some hairspray (and/or other lotions/potions) to actually keep the style for longer than an hour! Has anyone found the perfect solution?

You need old-fashioned setting lotion! Superdrug do one, or you will probably find it in any local independent pharmacy.

Hahaha I didn’t even know they still made setting lotion!

I use the tresemme ultra hold in level 4 or 5, its like glue, you could go out in a storm and it stays put. I just spray the ends doesnt get crispy looking!
