Stylish waterproof comfortable boots

Please can you fashionistas help me? Ian looking for stylish comfortable waterproof boots to wear with jeans / skinnies. They need to be comfortable enough to walk in so low heels or flat.

Any recommendations?

I have seen a pair of Gabor ones and also some Timberlands but I'm not sure if these are considered frumpy.

Watching because I can't find anything!

Should also have said that they need the sort of soles that stop you slipping about in ice and snow.

Haha. I was just coming in to say I want the same thing too.
I thought I’d found some nice waterproof Ugg boots but they turned out to be too wide and looked a bit welly- like on. So my quest continues!

These are the 2 I'm looking at but I don't want to be completely the most uncool person alive so am interested in opinions.

Merrel boots are lovely.
Timberland are unlikely to be frumpy but Gabor certainly can be.

Both those you've linked are ok imo but both would be better in brown.

marykissmouse · 29/01/2019 21:47

Yes I wondered about brown too. I'm going to see if either of them come in brown.

The Timberlands are nice. As Timberland have their roots in workwear, their boots perform pretty well.

HundredMilesAnHour · 29/01/2019 21:49

They're a bit dull OP but if that's what you like, it's what you like.

As a more modern alternative, I'd suggest having a look at Sorel. They have a great selection of waterproof boots. I got these and whilst they're probably not the style you're looking for (I wanted boots that were light for travelling), they're so comfy, waterproof and they don't slip on snow/ice.

Thanks. I've had a look at the sorrel ones before and I'm not that keen. I've seen quite a few nice ones on the merrell website which I hadn't looked at before so there's hope there!
