Has anyone used the SensatioNail Express kit?

I previously had the old version of this but found it too much of a faff with all the different layers (base/top/two coats) and needing to cure each one. I've just seen the express version which you paint the colour straight on the nail, cure then maybe another coat if you want but no base/top needed.

Has anyone used this one?

I have
It is much quicker to do, but doesn't last quite as long - about 7-8 days on me

I still use the original - but with the new peel off base coat
No primer so quicker to apply and I can peel it off in about 2 mins so loads faster to get off!

Usually lasts me about 10 days but I must have done a good job last time as am on day 17 today!

Wow 17 days?! That's amazing! I'm really lucky to keep normal nail varnish unchipped for more than a couple of hours so would be happy enough with 3 days.

That's good to know - I have just bought the standard kit and loved the staying power but hated the removal, so I have the peel off base on order. Hurry up yodel!

Your nails are lovely, btw. Can't believe they have been done for 17 days!

UpToonGirl · 29/01/2019 16:03

I think I'm going to give it a go, it's £35 so not too much more than gel nails at the salon anyway, which I'm struggling to get to!

Think I need to remove myself from the no beauty spend thread!

Update! I bought this today, kit and another polish as I didn't fancy the colour that came free so £45 in total. Applied at around 2pm and two WHOLE nails have come off and three others are already chipping!!

Now I didn't expect to get a crazy amount of time out of them but a few hours?! So annoying, I'm going to try and take it back to Boots tomorrow but I don't know what they'll say.

It's probably the prep - did you buff, wash, cleanse nails etc. first? Makes a massive difference

Any probs email them or message on social - their customer service is fab

UpToonGirl · 02/02/2019 10:55

I felt like I did prep properly however when I contacted them they suggested cleansing with washing up liquid rather than soap so I've given it another go and we'll see!

Their CS seems very good, they responded to me immediately and were very helpful.

It's all about getting the natural oils off the nails before you paint them.

I'm trying the peel off base. I applied it on Tuesday and it's rock solid so far.

I just paint my nails with ordinary polish, then when it's dry put the sensationail top coat on and cure. Works well.
