My dark circles are gone!

After years of wasting money on concealers, every price range, I stopped using them. They all made me look worse.

Then, last week, I went to Selfridge's to browse and decided to stop at the Armani counter. The make up artist tried a concealer on me and of course I looked crap. I told him! So he took it all off and tried a colour corrector with concealer on the top. OMG! I've never looked so fresh since I was 18.

He applied it with a flat brush and I've been doing the same at home. I got several compliments yesterday so it must be working.

I've been using one of my old concealers with this corrector. Best £32 ever spent on make up

Armani is literally the best makeup up brand in the world isn’t it

GreenandBlueButterfly · 28/01/2019 08:57

Seems to be! I've been using their eye serum (crema nera) and i like it. That's why I decided to try their counter and see. No hard sale from the guy. The product really sold itself

Are there different correctors for different skin issues, OP? I think Fraser's in Glasgow has Armani make-up; I'll get my hubby to take me and give it a try.

GreenandBlueButterfly · 28/01/2019 10:14

There must be because he picked colour number 1 for me. It's kind of orangey pink and it covers the blue. There were other numbers but I didn't ask

is there an armani counter anywhere in birmingham?

halfwitpicker · 28/01/2019 12:32

Colour corrector? So what is it exactly? It goes on the top of concealer?

halfwitpicker · 28/01/2019 12:33

Covers the blue I. E. Your dark circles have a blueish tint I guess?

GreenandBlueButterfly · 28/01/2019 13:49

It goes under the concealer, and covers the blue of the circles

I use Bobbi Brown serum corrector and yes it makes a huge difference under concealer!!!

DustyMcDustbuster · 28/01/2019 15:22

I need this!!! Off to google.

MadisonAvenue · 28/01/2019 15:29

flintfoxy Selfridges have an Armani counter.

SoonBeSpring · 28/01/2019 16:54

Have you tried Bobbi Brown op? Only asking because I use their corrector and concealer but don't get great results.
Keen to try Armani now if it's much better.

TBDO · 28/01/2019 17:00

I use Bobbi brown at the moment but it’s making my undereyes grey. Is there a range of colours, ie for olive / tanned skins?

GreenandBlueButterfly · 28/01/2019 20:20

I used Bobby Brown colour corrector a long time ago, but I remember I didn't like the texture or the results, so I gave up.

The Armani one is liquid so I find it easier to apply with a brush. It doesn't look caked in

So you put the colour corrector then the concealer? I have giant bags so keen to hear about this

Briansbathrobe · 28/01/2019 21:48

Haven't tried the concealer but Armani foundation is awesome, too!

KimchiLaLa · 28/01/2019 21:50

You can get these colour correctors from boots and Superdrug too. Yes they may not be as creamy, but I think sleek do them. MAC also have a range.

Scandaloso · 29/01/2019 01:00

Primark seem to do a version for 1.50. I might dip my toe in the colour correcting pool with one of those.

DaisyChainsForever · 29/01/2019 15:21

After reading this thread yesterday I bought a colour correcting pallet in Superdrug today. (No high end beauty counters near me to buy from or ask for a demonstration) Do you put something between the corrector and the concealer (ie powder) or just one on top of the other?

Fstar · 29/01/2019 19:56

Colour corrector was a game changer for me too, advice on google says to look at a colour wheel and the colours under your eyes and see which is best. Mine needs peach rather than a dark orange so this rimmel one is good for me and normally on offer in superdrug.

Fstar · 29/01/2019 19:57

I use a small blending sponge and tap in with finger too, then concealer on top, then setting powder (too faced peaches and cream)
