Clothes with numbers on them?! Help!

DD's need to wear an item of clothing with a number on it for school on Friday. We have nothing like that. Im happy to buy them something that they can wear again but from searching online im really struggling to find anything.
Time is very short this week so havent got the time to hunt the shops. ( plus were miles away from any decent shops!)

Anyone seen anything about??

Can you borrow a football shirt?

MadeinBelfast · 27/01/2019 22:53

Can you find a plain t shirt and add a number with felt pen? Or even cut a number out of felt and tack it on?

RitaConnors · 27/01/2019 22:54

Just get some masking tape, or washi tape if you are feeling fancy, and tape a number on something they own already. Or write a number with pens on something old.

Hobby craft do felt with a sticky back on it you can cut up numbers

Owletterocks · 27/01/2019 23:29

I just bought a cheap packet of sticker gems and then superglued them in number shapes on an old plain t shirt. Dd was made up with them because they were colourful and ‘jewely’

There are loads on James Bond 007 tshirts online

Also Half Marathon (13.1) and Marathon (26.2) tshirts, such as these

Many team shirts wouod be ok too

Or do you have any wearable souvenirs from London 2012?

oh4forkssake · 27/01/2019 23:31

I cut numbers out of felt and then glued them on. They loved them as they were matching and unique!

Fabric paint
Appliqué
Buttons sewn on in the shape of a number
Or sticky backed numbers (the sort that people use for house or bin numbers)

Is this a thing? What’s it for?

chantico · 27/01/2019 23:37

Sharpie 'Thing 1', or some number reference that has significance for DD onto a plain cheapy tshirt (eg Asda ones)

Owletterocks · 27/01/2019 23:38

Or something like this? Next and Sainsbury’s have them as well. I think they only go up to age 6 though www.matalan.co.uk/product/detail/s2703635_c359/kids-i-am-5-t-shirt-5yrs-grey

Joules polo shirts tend to have random numbers on them...
