Bubble bath/bath oil recommendations

I’m looking for something really nice to put in my bath. I’ve just finished a bottle of espa bubble bath and have had Neom in the past. I like essential oil type fragrances and would like something relaxing. I wondered if anyone had any recommendations for a really nice product before I buy one I’ve had before.

Bamford oil is lovely.

I'm also a Neom lover.

Susanne Kaufmann also worth a look.

PinkysEars · 27/01/2019 16:38

Oh, and Aromatherapy Associates.

Fullfatlatte · 27/01/2019 17:02

Has to be Aromatherapy Associates (Deep relax is my ultimate favourite!) but love them all.

taybert · 27/01/2019 17:21

Thank you! I’d seen aromatherapy associates and wasn’t sure what it was like, but they do look nice.

Neom is lovely, the sleep one and de stress I think.

Blondie1984 · 27/01/2019 17:41

Another vote for Aromatherapy Associates - I alternate between that, one from Tisserand (I get it in Waitrose) and one from the Rituals range

buckeejit · 27/01/2019 17:43

I like aromatherapy associates but you'd be better just buying a bottle of neroli essential oil, (or any others but I got this for Christmas & currently burning through our house), and some Himalayan salts & throw them in. Therapie salts lovely but again, diy is cheaper!

Abbottscat · 27/01/2019 17:45

Mio liquid yoga! Smells and feels amazing.

Sarcelle · 27/01/2019 17:46

Old school treat - Fenjal oil. Or for bubbles (esp in winter) Badedas. Not trendy, but oh so lovely.

JDSTER · 27/01/2019 17:47

Kneip bath oils are nice. They’re German I think and been around for years and not too pricey. You can buy a gift box with a complete set of them to try. I’ve bought in independent chemists and also on Amazon.

taybert · 27/01/2019 19:15

Thanks everyone! I’m tempted by the idea of blending my own but not sure where to start. It also feels like a bit more of a treat when it comes in a lovely bottle and you splosh a bit in but I accept that’s a bit shallow.

OP posts:
Fullfatlatte · 27/01/2019 19:28

I don’t think it’s a shallow thing to say. Aromatherapy associates bath oils are pure luxury, the bottles are lovely & as you only need 1 capful they last ages. You won’t be disappointed. Happy bathing 😀

Daffodil2018 · 27/01/2019 19:30

I like Fenjal too. Neal’s Yard aromatic bath is lovely as well.

WildCherryBlossom · 27/01/2019 19:34

My favourite is Tisserand Muscle Ease with ginger, rosemary and lemongrass

WildCherryBlossom · 27/01/2019 19:38

Or Senspa detox bath salts (citrusy).

Most of the time I just use Epsom salts with a couple of selected drops of essential oils (cedar, lavender, eucalyptus, sandalwood etc depending on mood)

Housewife2010 · 27/01/2019 19:38

Ren Moroccan Rose Otto Bath Oil is gorgeous.

Nettletheelf · 27/01/2019 20:00

Seconding the Kneipp recommendation. They are gorgeous and your house will smell divine.

BabarKingoftheElephants · 27/01/2019 20:04

Aromatherapy Assosciates! My bathroom smells beautiful after using the oil in a bath. I received a box with ten mini ones for Christmas and definitely plan to buy a full sized one.

buckeejit · 27/01/2019 20:24

I like both! I used a full little bottle of the aromatherapy associates last night in my bath & it wasn't enough of a smell for me, though I have a bit of a cold.

When I do homemade, I buy a big bag of the Himalayan pink salts & fill a big kilner jar, then mix salts with all the essential oils in a big bowl before filling the kilner jar with the smelly salts. I find the salts help me relax but often put in just a bit of bubbles with a good handful of the smellies 😁

taybert · 28/01/2019 16:50

They actually sell the Kneipp oils in one of our local shops (weird, there aren’t many shops!) I might give them a go whilst deciding if I want to fork out for the aromatherapy associates one.

AA bath oils can be a bit cheaper on eBay.

dontgobaconmyheart · 29/01/2019 13:06

Definitely Aromatherapy Associates for surw, Deep Relax is my absolute favourite. I also find a little goes a long way so it takes the sting out of the cost price.
I do also blend my own but I still prefer the Deep Relax, the bathroom smells gorgeous afterwards.

TuttiFrutti · 29/01/2019 15:01

I second REN Moroccan Rose Otto Bath Oil. I don't even particularly like red rose fragrances usually, but this is gorgeous.

caringcarer · 29/01/2019 15:05

I like Fengal oil.

Holidayshopping · 29/01/2019 15:19

What’s best-Epsom or Himalayan salts? Do you just Chuck a handful in the bath with a few drops of essential oils or do you mix them together first?
