How to style this?

Have bought this to wear to an engagement but not sure how to style it?

It's very long so think I'll have to take it somewhere to get a couple of inches off the bottom but not sure what colour shoes/bag? Was thinking gold as I have a nice sparkly gold clutch bag but not sure if gold shoes look cheap?

I'd go with red or orange.

Or hot pink.

I wouldn't wear any necklace, let the neckline design shine. Maybe a cuff. Gold or silver would be fine for shoes but a bit "safe" - a bright like Buster mentioned would be very striking.

I actually do have red heeled sandals and a red clutch! Which I was going to wear but DH said I wear them all the time and I need to start treating myself to some new pieces

You could always get new shoes and a bag anyway, so that the item will be even more versatile with multiple accessories.

I agree with the others - gold or silver will go perfectly well but is a safe and quite predictable choice. I’d go for bright colours to mix it up a bit.

Pink, coral/orange, blue, turquoise, etc. Happily more than one Colour, to really make a statement.
