Please help me find something to wear for a job interview

I have an interview on Wednesday. I work in quite a casual role at the moment, and the new role is in a slightly smarter environment but not super corporate. It's a senior role though so I need to at least make the effort for the interview.

I do have one pair of smart black trousers. I also have several Joe Browns / tunic style tops but they are all getting a bit old. My usual go-to smart top is looking a bit snug this soon after Christmas and I don't feel comfortable in it.

I don't really have any smart shoes, but I have black boots.

I am 5 6 and a 12/14. I'm more 14 bottoms and 12 tops though so dresses don't really work on me. My usual work clothes are smart black jeans/ trousers and tunic tops.

I would rather buy things that I'm likely to wear again so not a power suit with shoulder pads! I could also use the excuse to buy some new shoes or boots, but I definitely can't do heels more than around 1.5 inches.

Style wise I usually wear Desigual (off ebay!), Joe Browns, Fly London shoes, and I buy a lot from Dorothy Perkins.

Oh and just to make it more complicated I need to be able to order things today that will arrive by Monday. The only shop I can get to is Next but I don't like their stuff much. If things are free delivery free returns I can order a few things to try on.

Help!

@Kick for my recent interviews (similar to
You always worked in super casual start ups /agency world and the role is senior level so had to look like I made an effort) I wore a phase eight dress with a black blazer and boots for the first round and for second round I wore a skirt. Smart jumper and boots - it’s been too cold in London to do anything else. Let me dig up a few Asos links for you of similar stuff - BRB

Thanks autumn. I really love some of the dresses. Especially the green one.

I have bought myself some new boden trousers and a desiguel blouse. I think I'm sorted. Now I have to wait and see if the dreaded snow stops me getting there!

Also for dresses being smaller on the top than the bottom, I find ‘fit and flare’ dresses really lovely. I buy to fit the top of me, but as they have a slight flare there’s plenty of room on the bottom.

Good luck for your interview.
