I'm having my daughter baptized in a few weeks. I've been looking at navy pencil/wiggle dresses for weeks but then I saw this and thought that looks lovely. Would this outfit be appropriate for a baptism or is it a bit Hmm I'm 5ft 2 and size 12 early 30s.

I wouldn’t recommend the sunglasses for inside the church Grin the dress is lovely though

CatholicDadof2 · 25/01/2019 09:50

That's perfectly appropriate for Church. All the danger zones are covered.

Lovely dress - however, don't think it's appropriate for a baptism (black).
Also, I think whoever wears that shape of "skirting" has to be quite tall.
Enjoy the day, whatever you decide to wear Smile

I think the skirt section is more suited for a tall person too. It does look nice . The netting may be a bit of a pain with rings , baby changing bags etc. What sort of style do you normally go for and what suits you?

Darling it's 2019, you wear whatever you want, it's a dress, it's beautiful, you'll love lovely, don't overthink it. You're covered up, respectful, its lovely, hope it goes well! X

I love it

I love it, where's it from OP?

baileys90 · 25/01/2019 10:45

Thanks everyone it was on Pinterest but I've seen loads of this style on ASOS. I've a few things in mind so I might order it and see what it's like. I do have a feeling it will swamp me as pp mentioned they might suit a taller person. My usual style would be like a pencil dress but I've been wearing a lot of wrap dresses lately and they seem to suitSmile

To me it's overdressed for a Christening. People here wear smart day clothes.
These shoes could be a disaster on some church aisle iron grid floors!

Love it op

Enjoy the baptism!

I've found that style of dress very unforgiving on post baby pooch, you may be a lot svelter than me though!
