where do you buy your bras?

I am not a difficult size but need padding- am a 30/32D, sometimes DD depending on style. I like plunge styles, underwiring .

John Lewis and their brands are so expensive - I really don't want to spend more than £30 at the most on a bra and more like £25 max.

I have M&S padded, plunge, push up bras which are a good fit in a 32D but they are very plain.

I want a pretty bra with some lace etc but not a balcony bra because the straps are too far apart for my narrow shoulders. M&S Rosy seem to have changed- they are smaller fitting and many are now full cup which I don't need or like.

Where do you buy your bras?

Try them on for size in John Lewis and buy from Amazon

Lingerie outlet on eBay
Boux avenue in the sale

Thumbellini · 25/01/2019 17:37

Belle lingerie or figleaves in the sale. Belle lingerie is maybe a season behind but if that doesn't bother you there are some great bargains.

Gwenhwyfar · 25/01/2019 17:45

Boux Avenue, but only when there's an offer or a sale.

InternetRandomer · 25/01/2019 17:52

I get fitted in Bravissimo and maybe buy one then buy a load more off eBay. Sometimes ex display for a fraction of the price.

whiteroseredrose · 25/01/2019 17:52

I buy mine from M&S because I can get comfortable ones there. But yes, very plain.

Processedpea · 25/01/2019 17:54

Yes try on in john lewis etc and buy online I like fantasie bras and they're always in the sale or cheaper from e bay

Twotabbycats · 25/01/2019 18:33

Try brastop online - they have lots of interesting colours and styles and often have a sale on. I think a lot of the styles are from previous seasons so the prices are reasonable.

I wait for the sales and then get them from Fenwicks, Dickens and Jones, etc. That way I get good bras at half price.

Boux Avenue and Debs for basics

Ffsnosexallowed · 25/01/2019 19:27

Brastop

StarlightLady · 26/01/2019 05:49

John Lewis usuallly, but I wait for the sales. The discounts can be good value. I usually buy 2 pairs of matching knix too, different styles if I can.

I’m fussy, l won’t wear white and I refuse to wear “cardboard colour”(call it nude/beige). End of ranges can be a particularly good buy if you want interesting colours.

LellyMcKelly · 26/01/2019 06:41

Try George at Asda. As good as M&S easily but about a third of the price.

Debenhams own brand bras are great, as is their fitting service in my experience.
