Can I wear this skirt for a wedding?

Yes if you dress it up enough

DeadBod · 24/01/2019 17:33

I'd consider it a bit casual, even with heels and a nice top. Is it the traditional type of wedding?

Casmama · 24/01/2019 17:33

Yes. I think it would loom lovely with a black silk top and heels.

TinselAndKnickers · 24/01/2019 17:37

Agree with Casmama. Would look gorgeous

GoldenSyrupLion · 24/01/2019 17:40

Leopard print? I wouldn't (and I love leopard print.)

ritabe · 24/01/2019 17:41

It's a hotel wedding,no church.
I'm big time struggling

Yes, with a silk vest underneath for evening and a short blazer jacket over the top of that for the day/ceremony (3/4 sleeve blazer ideally, as proportionally it will look good with the midi length of the skirt), a clutch and heels.

Racecardriver · 24/01/2019 17:57

Firstly well done on getting to your age without having to suffer through a wedding first.

Now to answer your question it depends on how nice the hotel is. If it’s the Savoy then not appropriate, it’s it a Hilton then go for it.

DailyMailcanfuckthefuckoff · 24/01/2019 18:01

Ooof... a big NO from me.

itssquidstella · 24/01/2019 18:37

Yes from me!

fermezzlabouche · 24/01/2019 19:09

I bought this in the dress in the summer, the material is vile. So absolutely wouldn't recommend.

A midi skirt heels and top is definitely appropriate for a wedding though.

Itstimeslikethese · 24/01/2019 19:43

No wouldn't wear animal print

JulietAconite · 24/01/2019 20:06

yes- way better than the awful traditional 'wedding' clothes most people wear

Villainess · 24/01/2019 20:07

Yes. Dressed up it will look great. Far better than that Coast/Debenhams occasion wear wedding guest look.

Sausagefingers9 · 24/01/2019 20:10

Depends how you style it I think. It could look cool.
I’d look ridiculous I think. Are you tall?

I’d like to see something more fun if it was my wedding. I’ve been to loads of weddings and the fashion round here always seems to be too tight bodycon dresses.

Lucked · 24/01/2019 20:14

Do you already own it? If so fine but there are so many nicer midi skirts out there.

CherryPavlova · 24/01/2019 20:23

It’s fine. Nobody will even notice what you’re wearing so don’t fret too much. All eyes are on the bride unless someone wears something really outrageous - a red leather cat suit or similar.
