After almost 13 years of daily use my beloved GHDs have finally given up the ghost 
. So I'm now in the market for some new hair straighteners and I'm wondering, are GHDs still the best? My sister has some pink GHDs which are much newer than mine, but I don't like them! I found that you really have to squeeze them together to get them to straighten properly, whereas with mine you just had to lightly close them for the plates to fully touch. I've seen you can get a few different types though, so perhaps there are still some available that are more like mine? Also I only have short hair, I had the standard ones but do I want thin ones? Please share your hair straightener advice!
