Which Bobbi Brown foundation?

After many disasters, I decided to go all out and got colour matched at Bobbi Brown today. The assistant used the Long Wear foundation but I’m not sure about something that is full coverage. I asked to try the medium coverage Skin foundation but she said it was really drying Confused so not ideal for me as I sometimes get a little bit of dryness.

I’ve looked them both up online and can’t find anything about Skin being drying. Has anyone tried both? Which would you recommend?

I have dry skin and hate heavy makeup. Bobbi brown tinted moisturiser is ideal for me. Gives a beautiful, light coverage and the colour is a perfect match. Even though it’s light coverage it’s amazing on dark circles too

I have dry skin and was recommended the Bobbi Brown Skin foundation when I asked at the BB counter Hmm I get on well with it, better in summer though than winter though that might be to do with my moisturiser.
The only way to know is to try it. Take a little pot along (or before xmas they were giving them away) and if you ask nicely they will give you a few days worth to try at home.

I got half of a very little pot of the Long Wear one to try (the try me for 7 days offer... can’t see it lasting more than a couple of days Confused) so I’ll see how I get on with it but I’m definitely leaning towards medium coverage. That’s reassuring that you get on well with it despite dry skin. On all the descriptions for Skin it says it’s hydrating so I’m not sure what the woman at my local BB counter was talking about.

I’ve been recommended the wrong shade twice at Clinique and I’m really fed up of trying to find the right foundation, especially when my skin is covered in red marks from old acne. Now that I’m almost done with roaccutane (I’m in my 30s) I want to start enjoying makeup again instead of it being a chore.

Vintage, I’d love to just wear a tinted moisturiser but because of the old acne marks at the moment I don’t think it will be enough. Hopefully by the summer Smile
