Handbag for >£300 - recommendations please!

I’m going back to work after mat leave soon (slightly dreading it) and want to treat myself to a proper handbag. Despite working in a professional job for the best part of a decade I’ve never had one. I’d like something classic that won’t date. My favourite clothes shop is COS if that gives an idea of style. I’ve had a look in John Lewis but haven’t seen anything I like. Oh and budget is £300 max but a lot less would be great! Any suggestions gratefully received!

Aspinal is very classic but possibly a bit too spendy (although I got mine second hand off eBay - perfect condition). Beautiful and timeless.

I have a leather Cos bag for work that’s wearing well. If you like Cos, I also like Kin at John Lewis for similar styles and Jigsaw often have nice leather bags for that budget. I’m far less worried about having a designer brand bag now than I was before kids though!
