Suits for petite women?

Hello all

Where can I buy a suit that doesn’t make me look like I’m playing dress up in my mother’s wardrobe?

I’m 5’1 and size 8. Most general suits swamp me- particularly the trousers!

I'm 5 ft 3 and often opt for a suit that comes with a ankle grazer, tapered trouser and long jacket or I often opt for a knee length pencil skirt suit with a long jacket.

Does it have to be a suit or can you opt for a dress or trousers and a tailored jacket?

At 5ft, size 6-8, my (smart) work dresses/trousers come from a range of Phase 8, Mango, Zara, Boden petite and (before they closed their stores) Banana Republic.
Jackets have come from Zara, Mango and the odd find in House of Fraser (Hallhuber brand does a size 6 that is quite small).

To be honest I have a lot of dresses with sleeves so don't use the jackets much.
Go for dresses that don't have a super structured waist (as its likely to fall in the wrong place) and a shorter length jacket.
