What jewellery with this dress?

What jewellery should I wear with this dress? I need to order something online this week or might have time to go shopping at the weekend. I don’t want to spend much but I think it needs a necklace. Any ideas please?

That’s not me in the photo (unfortunately).

A fine chain with something sparkly or pearls.

TickledOnion · 21/01/2019 13:32

Thanks justasking. I have something sparkly but I think it’s a bit small and too subtle.

Our Debenhams do some lovely sparkly bling.

honeycrumpet · 21/01/2019 14:18

I'd add a cuff-style bracelet and some statement earrings actually! Like this or this bracelet and maybe something like these earrings. Otherwise, I agree with justasking111 and would go for a necklace like this.

honeycrumpet · 21/01/2019 14:19

Oh p.s. that is an absolutely gorgeous dress! Where's it from?

TickledOnion · 21/01/2019 14:54

Thanks honeycrumpet. It’s from apricot. www.apricotonline.co.uk/green-velvet-v-neck-cross-over-dress.html

I wouldn't wear a necklace due to neckline shape but nice gold earrings and bangle.

KaliforniaDreamz · 21/01/2019 17:41

i would not wear a necklace, keep it very simple, let your decolletage do the talking!

It's a lovely dress, may i ask how does it size and is it lined? i might get it in navy!

Uncooperativefingers · 21/01/2019 18:04

I would wear a fine gold necklace with a delicate pendant that sits between / just below the collar bone. Along with a gold necklace and some long earrings. I have the Azendi gold spirals so would wear those, they're delicate in shape but impactful enough for evening because of the length. But I don't tend to like chunky jewellery, so it depends on your style really

These earrings, but generally Azendi have some lovely things

Racecardriver · 21/01/2019 18:09

The dress is already quite attention grabbing. Very small and simple jewellery in white gold or silver is the best call. Dress should be the focus.

PurpleCrowbar · 21/01/2019 19:10

I think the neckline best uncluttered!

I'd go for knockout chandelier earrings & a cuff, both in jet black. Am an unreconstructed goth though...

starzig · 21/01/2019 19:17

Simple bracelet. No necklace, the neckline on the dress is lovely, you wouldn't wsnt yo detract.

TickledOnion · 21/01/2019 23:29

I think i need to try out a few options. I’m veering towards something fine and gold with longer earrings.
@KaliforniaDreamz it’s not lined but it is thick velvet so it hides all my lumpy bits really well. I’d say it’s true to size.

I'd wear bracelets, bangles or a watch and strappy silver sandals.

Stunning dress.

halfwitpicker · 22/01/2019 00:26

Certainly no necklace

Conseulabananahammock · 22/01/2019 19:30

Going against the grain here to say some sort of choker type necklace. Something thin and sparkly

Kittykatmacbill · 22/01/2019 20:36

Statement earrings and cuff. No necklace as it will clutter the neckline.
