Need some help finding shoes

I have got a black tie coming up soon, planning to wear a long (shin) length dress but am really struggling with shoes.

1. They need to be comfy as will be on my feet a fair bit,
2. Recovering from a broken ankle, so can't do anything more than about 1.5 inches (and would prefer block heel rather than stilleto as can be a bit wobbly!)
3. Would prefer it not to be open toe, as big toe has had ingrowing toenail so looks skanky!

Any suggestions much appreciated :-)
