Double crown/weird parting

I think I have a double crown, and coupled with hair getting thinner with age it makes my parting look awful at the back of my head (like a bald patch Sad)
The parting goes really far back then sort of veers off to the side (where it's thinnest). It sort of sticks up a bit there too, and makes my hair really hard to style.
I think it's genetic and has always been like that, but it's much more noticeable as I get older and greyer.
Does anyone else have this problem, and if so, how do you deal with it?
If there are any hairdressers out there with experience of this, I'd be grateful for your input. Thank you.

You just described my hair too...I would be very interested if anyone has a solution!

I have this and I hate it so much. A hairdresser said a little backcombing sorts it which indeed it does (although I'm not very good at it!).

Hello fellow sufferers. Don't think I'd be any good at back-combing either, and I'd have to look at the back of my head to do it, which I try to avoid (trying to avoid reality).
I did read somewhere about doing a zigzag parting (I think this was fashionable some years ago) but again it requires mastery.

Zig-zag parting (very 90s!) wouldn't help with the back/crown. And yes, I mostly work on the principle of what I can't see won't hurt me Grin

I have this too, i look to have thick hair looking from the front, which is actually shorter on the crown, so trying to grow it down from the front and then i gather it together and use a hair slide to cover the thin patch
Hope this makes sense,i try not to look at the back, but when i did through a mirror i was shocked at how thin my hair was there
