My skin has cleared but why?!

I've had dry/oily combo skin for years now and big horrible cystic spots usually around the time of my period.
About 8 weeks ago I was in primark and at the tills randomly picked up some tea tree face wipes - 2 packs for a £1

Since using them I haven't had a single spot. Not even a little tiny one. Definitely not the big horrible monthly ones.

This has to be some sort of fluke but I haven't changed anything else! Any explanations for this miracle?!

Get to primark now!

Tea tree is a natural antiseptic so it helps kill bacteria on the skin that can cause spots

It's also an astringent so it helps dry up oily skin.

I love it! Magic stuff.

Any changes in diet?

wwdorado · 19/01/2019 23:24

Yes it's been Christmas so I've been eating more than usual and had a few gins 😳

I doubt it's down to tea tree but it may help a little. When I was around 35 my spots disappeared I put it down to hormones but that's just a guess.

Maybe that's it then I'm 36...

Just wanted to add that I have found this too!
I started using Boots own Tea Tree and Witch Hazel face wash last year and within about a month my cystic spots cleared up!

I also turned 35 last year too though so it may be hormonal changes.

This is interesting. Peri menopause starts at 35.

wwdorado · 20/01/2019 19:38

That's interesting! Also just realised I am 35 not 36!

I found this in the summer and think it is the start of perimenopause sadly!

Any chance you could be pregnant?!
My skin had been awful for at least 15 years and within a week of being pregnant it cleared. I'm due in two weeks and dreading my skin going back to how it was!!
