Had a really tough few months that aren’t going to get any easier. What would you buy yourself as a beauty treat for home?

I’m probably going to book a facial or massage type treatment, maybe some semi perm lashes or something at a salon but want something a little bit more luxe than the standard shower gel etc that’s lurking in the bathroom.

I had the liberty advent and really liked the bath oil that came in it, I’ve previously liked the jo Malone lavender bath oil as well. I like a nice scented candle but have a couple of travel size dipityqe ones in the bedroom.

What would you buy yourself to while away an hour in the bathroom with a massive g&t?

Missed a sentence out. I’ve had a tough few months, not getting better any time soon as would like to spend some money on myself.

Sorry you’re having a tough time Flowers

If you like Jo Malone, have you tried Jo Loves? They have a range of bath ‘colognes’ which are seriously indulgent, and would be my go-to if I needed to treat myself.

Hair mask
Estée Lauder sheet face mask
Clarinet bubble bath
Chanel soap
Champneys body scrub

Thanks, it’s just one of those troughs where one thing after another happens! It’ll come right eventually I’m sure!! I’d had a peek at the JoLoves but there is nowhere in the north that stocks it so I could smell them beforehand.

HairMask sounds interesting! Thank you, I’ll have a look! I’ve unearthed quite a few sheet masks I already have so planning to work my way through them.

My recent treats have been L’Occitane almond oil shower oil and Dior Nail Glow.

Aesop pumice hand soap - an amazing luxury every time you wash your hands.

DH takes the piss out of me because I only put it out when we have guests - but even then it’s such a treat!

Korean sheet masks
Moroccan Argan oil ( the genuinevstuff not the fake stuff with silicones in ) as a hair treatment ( though you need to put it in an hour before, but will make your hair lovely and shiny ) 😀
I also really like Savon Noir ( black soap) with Argan oil, massage it in, leave for 5 mins and it makes your skin lovely and soft!

I went to Marrakesh last year where I discovered the last 2 products and I really rate them!

Black soap sounds interesting!!!

Googling the pumice soap now...

I’d totally forgotten about the almond oil, I’m going to pick up a bottle of that today I think.

I love a body scrub. My friend bought me a jar of the sanctuary one for Christmas (I haven't used it before but I know lots of people who are big fans) and I can't wait to have a good old scrub!

A nice face mask as well (I use Liz Earle ones) with something nice and soothing on your eyes (Liz Earle Eyebright) - regardless of what you use I think it's nice to put something on your eyes while using a mask so you're forced to keep them closed and actually take 10 minutes to just chill out.

As an every day treat I like Liz Earle Superskin Oil. I finished my last bottle like two years ago and haven't quite been able to bring myself to part with the money for another one, but it's so luxurious ☺️ might have to treat myself again soon...

I got some Emma Hardie cleansing balm in a beauty box - it’s absolutely lovely, a real treats I got the full size product for Christmas and love my morning routine with it.

The other thing I have and love are Espa salt and oil body scrubs, they smell devine and leave your skin feeling wonderful. They would be my go to treat products.

CherryBlossom23 · 20/01/2019 07:40

Seconding Espa products, they are divine. I also like Rituals shower oils as a less pricey treat.

The Dermalogica multivitamin power recovery masque is my fave right now, makes my skin lovely and bright.
