Nuface Mini - anyone have one?

If you have one of these, does it really make a difference and, is so, how has it changed your face? Is it worth the money?

Also, how often do you usevit and for how long?

Finally, a reviewer on Space NK, I think, mentioned that it was like eating tinfoil if you have deep amalgram fillings! Anyone else?

Thanks.

You’re right, Princess, it might not be suitable for everyone. In my experience, I wanted something easy to try as I’ve read about the powerful effect of facial massage/exercises and acupuncture. This little unit stimulates the underlying musculature with electric impulses and increases blood flow via gentle massage. I don’t have the patience to sit in front of a mirror, effectively gurning for half an hour.

And besides, I don’t want to be forking out on any more serums and posh creams.

Terrorbird · 23/01/2019 15:56

It triggered migraines for me so I had to send it back.

Kitty i agree about the serums and creams, all pretty much the same in my experience,i have spent a fortune in the past, and not going to do anymore, i got some retin A, but its very drying and makes wrinkles look worse, it might work, but i m sure its going to take a long time,
Serums etc, might make skin look good but does nothing for sagging jowls, which is more of a problem

princessTiasmum · 23/01/2019 16:39

Meant to say sagging jowls are more ageing than wrinkles

PeroniZuchini · 23/01/2019 20:16

@MissKittyBeaudelais wow you look amazing. It’s interesting to see that it has worked for you after 4-6 months, perhaps I’m just impatient to see results. My neck hasn’t improved at all (yet) so you’ve motivated me to keep on with it!

Delatron · 23/01/2019 21:57

I have the full size one and I love it. I used to have a Rio facial toner and that was such a faff but love this one. I use collagen gel.

Face definitely looks more toned and lifted, especially the cheek area. Doesn’t do anything for forehead lines but I agree with the above statement that jowls are more ageing than wrinkles.

But, it is temporary so you do need to commit to this and keep it up. I do 5 times a week.

SallieSallow · 23/01/2019 22:26

MissKitty you look great!

Good to hear (and see) some positive reviews, I’m working away this week but this is encouraging me to make a start at the weekend. My money is spent so I’ve nothing to lose.

MissKittyBeaudelais · 23/01/2019 22:40

Sally, if you do it nightly or say 6 nights per week for a few months, you can then “maintain”. Tbh, I just do it with very little thought because at night I’d “do” my face anyway. Mornings are right out as I’m just too busy.

SallieSallow · 26/01/2019 15:09

MissKitty and Princess and everyone else who’s using this, what skincare products do you use and when do you use them alongside the nuface?

I use BHA, Vit c and retinol in my routine (not all at the same time!) but I’m not sure what I should be doing before (BHA is a toner so I’m guessing before?) or after. I’m also not sure about cleansers, is there such a thing as a non oil cleanser that removes makeup including eye makeup? I can’t use micellar water as it makes my face and eyes sting.

I was about to start today but mine needs a long charge as it’s been unused for so long, starting tomorrow now but I’m still a bit unsure as to how to work it into my current routine with the products that I currently use and like.

princessTiasmum · 26/01/2019 20:48

SallieSallow i use a Judith Williams facial wash mouse with Retinol at night, got it from Ideal world on offer ,for day cream, night included, and i love it, this is the second set i have had,, then use the Nuface, with aloe vera gel, after i wash that off i uses an Elizabeth Arden [got from QVC on offer] but first i uses collagen serum, or Hylouronic acid, then the EA serum, plus night moisturiser, then neck cream, which actually doesnt take long although its a faff, in the morning i just rinse face, then Judith Williams retinol moisturiser,
About once a week i use a tiny bit of Retin A pure, not too keen on the EA stuff to be honest, then repeat at night, every night
I have some Aldi caviar cream, which i think is just as good,

SallieSallow · 26/01/2019 21:40

Thanks Princess so sounds like I need to stop using an oil cleanser, rinse my face after nufacing and then proceed with skincare as usual.

I couldn’t find much info on this, possibly because nuface encourage you to use their own products, they do cleansers and serums as well as the conductive gel. I can’t remember what I did when I was using it before as it was ages ago & I wasn’t using actives or retinol at the time, but I do remember not getting on with their gel.

I think I’ll probably use it in the morning eventually as that will take away the makeup removal issue, but would rather do at night when I have more time till I get used to it again.

Delatron · 26/01/2019 22:18

I use it in the morning with collagen gel then just wash off the gel and apply vitamin c serum and spf. Definitely no oil cleanser.

SallieSallow · 27/01/2019 12:16

Thanks Delatron once I’ve got used to it again and can do it on autopilot I’ll start using it in the morning.

I found some info from Hot&Flashy (50 something beauty blogger) where she goes through her full routine (she uses retinol and Vit c) including the nuface that’s been helpful too, though I don’t use anywhere near as many products as she does!

wentmadinthecountry · 27/01/2019 12:24

Mine's great when I use it. Ds calls it my face dildo.

SallieSallow · 28/01/2019 17:10

GrinGrinGrin at face dildo - I might have to adopt that!

Used yesterday and so far so good - was a lot quicker than I remembered but think I did the extended routine last time so no wonder I got fed up and gave up! I'm sticking to 5 minutes in the morning this time, will let you know all know as soon as I'm young and non-saggy again Smile

Delatron · 28/01/2019 18:27

Yes I just do the 5 minute routine most mornings. I don’t have time for the extended one.

I like Hot and Flashy on You Tube! I’ve learnt lots from her.

😂 Face Dildo!!
