DIY wedding makeup

So I am contemplating doing my own wedding makeup. Planing on having a lesson/trial but all the options I can find are tied in to a single brand... since I also want some advice on skin care etc in the run up I suspect a mix of products from different brands is prob better. Is there anywhere I can get this sort of advice for multiple makes?

Thanks x

I got my make-up done at a wedding recently (bridesmaid) and the make-up artist highly recommended Space NK for skincare, although he had no connection. They also stock different make-up brands so you won't be tied to a certain brand. They don't do MAC or Estée Lauder though (big "wedding"/long wear brands) so you might want to visit them separately. Those counters will however give you testers if you want to try double wear for example.

My wedding make-up was £25 pp. A lot of wedding make-up artists also do hair, so for not much more you could have the whole lot done and relax on the day knowing it's in hand. If you're taking the time to have a consultation (which often has a cost if you don't buy anything), plus the cost of products themselves, you should weigh up if you're really getting the value out of it.

Just a small tip - go for a foundation without SPF in it if possible as SPF causes flashback on camera

Have a great day
